Deep Beneath The Cover of Another Perfect Wonder that is so, White as Snow

Hello hello. :D

Yea I haven't been updating much. Same old same old reasons. haha

Anyhoos, since I left off.....I've experienced my first week in rural Australia! Monash sent a group of us up to Echuca, which for those who don't know, is sort of border Victoria and New South Wales. Took us 2 hours of train and an hour of bus to get there. Together with Moama, which is the other half of town across the border in New South Wales, Echuca has about 14000 people. Whoopeedee

Got there on the Monday 2 weeks back, and the first thing that happened was the other asian group (which I'm not part of; I was part of another asian group lololol) got chased from town to the caravan park we were staying in by bogans in a white van. The bogans then came out of their van with poles and chased them. YEAH IT WAS SHIT SCARY. The bogans then left after they couldnt enter the caravan park, but came back 10 minutes later and hopped the fence to look for the other asian group. But luckily some guy saw them and chased them out and called the police. Haha pretty ironic first day welcome to rural Australia.

Anyhoos, one of the local tutors moved in to the cabin behind ours the on Tuesday for security. haha

On Tuesday, we basically toured. Had a short tour of their police station (I still don't know why Monash organised that for us) and then went to the docks and had a paddleboat steamer ride! It was pretty cool :) Oh oh and our tourguide at the docks had this amazing bird; It could like do tricks and hold on to your finger as you spun it round and round. lol

Had hospital visit on Wednesday. I got attached to the general med ward. But I managed to follow the ward rounds to all the other wards in the hospital. Awesomeness. Went out for parmie night to celebrate Robbie's birthday after that.

Thursday- Followed a social worker around to homes to see how dsiabled people lived. I basically vacuumed 3 houses and talked to old people for half the day. Haha. But the people were awesome. Dead friendly and very nice to talk too. :D On another topic, few people from the other group who did their hospital visits on Thrusday got kicked out of hospital for some misunderstanding. Which led to a not nice debrief in the evening. gah But we did go for trivia night in a bar for dinner, and of course trivia! yea it sounds nerdy. but basically the whole town came for trivia and it was pretty cool. We lost like shit though; they asked too many oldie questions. haha

And on Friday, we went back! All in all, I pretty much enjoyed rural. People were friendlier (except for the bogans that chased the other asian group) and everything was more peaceful. :)

Last week was basically normal classes. This week as well. We're dissecting bodies every Tuesday and we get to go in to the lab anytime to work on the bodies and learn. I finally did some reading so I now understand what the hell we're cutting up. lol

Currently, I'm in nerd mode because exams are in 1 and a half weeks. gah

Anyhoos, I'll leave you guys with some camwhore pics from Echuca :)
